The new Testomat generation for multiparameter systems - The Testomat Lab
A good 15 years after the market-ready development of the Testomat 2000 series and Testomat ECO (now Testomat EVO) by Gebrüder Heyl Analysentechnik GmbH & Co. KG, Hildesheim, the managing director of Gebrüder Heyl Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH came back to Hildesheim from a trip to China in 2014 with the realization that the Testomat family needed to be enriched by a new development to meet current and future requirements in measurement technology.
For many applications in the Asian region and China, the need for a much smaller titration instrument and the need as a pure measuring instrument to transmit its signals to a multi-parameter controller unit became clear. The need for "stand alone" instruments such as the T 2000 variants could already be met to a large extent, but a contemporary measuring device for higher-level controllers was not available.
The following year, a major customer defined the same requirements for polymer measurement. Immediately, in cooperation with Gebr. Heyl Analysentechnik, Gebr. Heyl Vertriebsgesellschaft and the major customer, the development of the Testomat Lab generation began. The first product was a T Lab POC (polymer measurement).
Further on, the Testomat Lab variant for total hardness (TH), for chlorine free and total (CLF, CLT) and for monochloramines (Na2CL) was developed, so that the manufacturer Gebrüder Heyl Analysentechnik already offers four different instrument types, which are called Testomat Module with Housing.
For applications in the field of drinking water and drinking water distribution stations, this small, compact device is the required alternative to chlorine sensors for e.g. China. For total chlorine, the reagent has been redefined from three to two necessary reagents, both of which are used as indicators on the same instrument. At the request of Gebr. Heyl Vertriebsgesellschaft, the parent company Gebr. Heyl Analysentechnik is also working on developing a powder reagent, which will offer further advantages.
The Testomat Lab/Module instruments are small and in their basic version do not contain any functionalities that a controller unit can fulfill. This results in space savings and avoidance of duplicate functions, and the instruments also operate on a 24 V voltage. Our Solution Building will be happy to assist customers in finding suitable applications in a wide range of applications. Regardless of the multi-parameter application in, for example, cooling towers, drinking water stations or boiler water monitoring for food production, the development of the devices is supported by the newly developed multicontroller "NeoTecMaster" from our company, already fully configured for all testomatics.
On the Chinese market, the devices are already accepted since the year 2021.
